風鈴花 Chinese Lantern

可愛風鈴，隨風搖曳，風姿綽約，卻沒聲音。

兩個一對，送給妹妹，當作耳環，清脆笑聲，盈盈不斷。

What a lovely wind bell!

 However, while it is swinging in wind, there is no sound coming out.

Let me give a girl a couple of them, put on her ears as her earrings.

 Then she smiles and  I hear her giggling in the wind.

還是大方剪裁，

歐巴桑的包頭巾，大嬸婆的大花裙，

也能換得笑聲呵呵。

 It is also suitable to give an old lady,

 as her headscarf or her poodle skirt.

She will laugh loudly, 

her sound of "hah hah" will break the silent.

旖霓世界 Neon Lights

到處是飛碟，

到了外太空嗎？

UFO was here and there,

where have I been?

Was it the outer space?

其實還在銅鑼灣的『血拼磨』，這是從中秋節到聖誕節的裝飾。
看得出什麼關聯嗎？

嗯～～有像燈籠啦！（香港人中秋節提燈籠）

嗯～～～啊有紅有綠有燈光啦，算是聖誕節的元素吧！

其實，我根本搞不懂這跟中秋和聖誕有什麼關係，

倒是還蠻有一種Fu，

表現出香港購物天堂旖旎，虛幻又浮誇的氣氛。

Actually, I was at Causeway Bay, Hong Kong;
and this was the decoration in a shopping mall
during the period from the Mid-autumn festival to Christmas holiday.

Can you tell what kind of thoughts behind this decoration?  

Well, it might be because they look like lanterns
which are one symbol of the Mid-autumn festival in Hong Kong. 

Well, they look colorful,
so because of those green and red neon lights
it might be related to the sense of Christmas.

In fact, I did not have any idea at all.

However, this decoration of neon lights did deliver ideas
 such as delusiveness, vanity, and exaggeration
that you will sense in this so-called shopping heaven, Hong Kong.

         Yes, there is a relationship between color and thinking. 或許不新鮮，但對我來說已經夠有趣。

This is really what happened under the sun.

It may be not new, but is interesting enough to me.

渺小 A Sense of Tininess

高聳的建築，是人們意志的延伸，同時也對比出人類的渺小。
Those high buildings are the extension of people's will.
At the same time, it shows how tiny people are compared to them. 

人類能感到渺小，是好的，尤其是當面對大自然時。
It is good to have a sense of tininess,
especially when people face the mother nature.

紅配綠 Red and Green

小時候長聽人家說：『紅配綠狗臭屁。』

不是很懂什麼意思，只留紅與綠是不好的搭配。

但明明很多時候紅配綠很顯眼，很引人注目，很好看啊！

I could not understand why people say

 that putting on red and green together will cause a feeling of exaggeration.

Actually,  in many cases red color and green color go well with each other.

 大自然的紅配綠，展現出旺盛的生命。

Matching red and green, it manifests a vigorousness of life in the natural world.

 人為地紅配綠，營造出一種雅緻。

Artificially, people make up a sense of elegance.

霧 The Mist

天然的柔焦，掩蓋住俗世的缺憾，顯現出迷濛的美感，卻多了幾許困惑。

The mist covers and softens the hardship in the mundane world. 

Though making a blurry beauty, it causes a sense of confusion at the same time.  

霧化的效果，為平日單調的僧院，增添了趣味的層次，仍掩不了清明的氛圍。

Adding a misty effect, 

it brings about an interesting perspective on the monotonous environment of a monastery,

 but does not interrupt the atmosphere of serenity there.

白色櫻花戀 Cherry Blossom Festival in DC

1912年日本送給美國三千棵櫻花樹，種在美國首都華盛頓特區（DC）。
可是日本人很厲害地，並沒有送出最美的品種到美國和番，所以DC這兒的櫻花可不是想像中的粉紅嬌豔。不過數大就是美，淺粧粉白的櫻花也別有一番風情。就來個美式賞櫻吧！

Three thousand cherry trees were bestowed on Washington, DC by Tokyo, Japan in 1912.
Now it is the time for Cherry Blossom Festival, let's go for a short trip and have a taste of cherry watch in American style.

伸展的枝枒，迎向陽光，迎向自由，也護衛著遊人。

右後方是 Jefferson Memorial ，紀念美國第三任總統湯馬仕傑佛遜，獨立宣言起草人。

好個風和日麗，遊人如織，花粉也多到讓人嗆鼻地無法忽略。

A branch extended to the sunshine and sought for freedom.

Year after year, it has grown to become a strong arm guarding people.

What a beautiful sunny day!

So many tourists were there and pollens, too.

藍天為幕，花朵成雲。

 A cloud of white blossoms on the blue sky.

別走得太匆忙嘛！

好好坐下來，甚至躺下來，才是美式悠閒啊！

Take your time to sit down even to lie down under cherry blossoms.

喜歡芭比娃娃嗎？

那是什麼心理投射？

What kind of mental projection behind the business of Barbie?

 不過是一群懸吊的傀儡，被絲線擺弄出各種姿態。
Actually, they are puppets controlled by strings, and hung in the air. 

檯面下，更多等著被吊上去，擺上去的娃娃。

Under the table, there are lots of dolls who are waiting for picking up. 

 上了展示台，也是個扭曲的世界。
 Standing on the display stage, they have entered a distorted world.

小朋友，要小心，

芙蓉姊姊是有練過的，
不要亂學！
Be careful!

What a weird world of pink Barbies!

Those pink Barbie dolls were Christmas decorations at Time Square HK in 2011.

Any relationship between these two? I could not tell.

Besides, I always doubt whether Barbie dolls are proper for children.

I think, actually, Barbies are toys desired for by adults, not by children.

Why those adults hope their girls become sexy and dummy?

恆河邊的牧童 Cowboy in India

拿著小短棍，小男孩趕著牛到岸邊喝水。

恆河邊的牧童，不知道有沒有聽過佛陀的教法？

牧牛好比牧心。

百般勸誘，千番告誡，就是要讓心回到『正途』（八正道）上。

This cowboy is looking after his cattle with a short stick nearby the Ganges.

I wonder whether he has ever heard the Buddha's teaching.

The Buddha usually compared the cultivation of mind with looking after cattle. 

You have to make a great effort to take your mind on the right path, 

which is the Noble Eightfold Path,

 either by encouragement or by admonishment.

當心終於習慣在正途上，也知道走在正途的利益，

就不必辛苦呵斥了。

看來，恆河邊的牧童，果然厲害。

When the mind has been trained constantly on the right path with the right view, 

it will be on the right track without hardship.

See! It seems that the cowboy has done an excellent job.
